Due to the availability of numerous foods, it becomes difficult to choose the most beneficial foods among them. From veggies and vitamin-rich fruits to beans and meats enriched with protein, there is a lot of choices. Here in this blog post, we will be discussing the best foods for baby feeding.   1. Bananas

Bananas are high in the potassium content, carbohydrates, vitamins C and B6, fiber, calcium, and iron. Make a puree with mango and banana. Furthermore, you can also make a smoothie with banana, peach chunks, and whole-milk yogurt. Bananas provide energy to your babies and are also good for the digestive tract.

  • Avocado

Avocados contain many more nutrients as compared to other fruits of a similar group. They have the highest content of protein and monounsaturated fats. Make sure to serve baby ripe avocado to your babies. Monounsaturated fats help in boosting brain development. Thoroughly wash avocado and then mash it well. Serve mashed avocado with chicken or meat purees.

  • Sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes are one of the best superfoods for baby feeding. They are rich in potassium, fiber, beta-carotene, minerals, copper, and vitamin C. Beta- carotene is an antioxidant that removes free radicals and prevents certain kinds of cancer. Babies love to eat this vegetable because of its sweet taste. Mothers can easily prepare sweet potatoes puree. First, they have to cook it and then mash it up.

  • Yogurt

Yogurt is loaded with vitamin D, phosphorus, protein, and calcium that are essential for healthy teeth and bones. Four to six months old baby can have yogurt. Prefer buying plain yogurt instead of flavored yogurt, which is free from sugar. Yogurt also contains probiotics (good bacteria) that help digestion and also support the immune system. Add mashed avocado, berries, applesauce, or other fresh fruits in yogurt to serve it to your baby.

  • Chicken

If you are looking for protein and vitamin B6 enriched food, then the chicken is a perfect choice. Vitamin B6 helps in extracting energy from consumed food. Babies can grow rapidly when they receive protein-enriched foods. You can add any vegetable or fruit in chicken if your baby does not like the flavor of the chicken.

  • Red meat

Anyone can suffer from anemia if the iron is not consumed in sufficient quantity. The majority of the parents prefer giving meat to their babies as a first food. Red meat is a good source of iron, protein, and zinc. Iron assists the red blood cells to carry oxygen towards body cells and is also essential for brain development. Meat purees are great for younger babies whereas finely chopped, well-cooked meat is ideal for older babies.

  • Broccoli

Broccoli contains calcium, fiber, and folate that help fight off cancer. Steam broccoli until it is soft and then cut it into small pieces. You can also keep the steamed pieces in the refrigerator for baby feeding one or two days later.
